What is Strive RTS, Inc.?

STRIVE RTS, Inc. is an organization that provides leisure and recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We help to advocate for individuals with disabilities, as well as implement programs of interest, provide consultation and independently contract recreational therapy throughout Michigan.

Both STRIVE RTS, Inc.  and Strive Inc., its non- profit counterpart, have been successfully running since approximately 2003.  We continue to offer many programs and services that are often left out of the loop once a patient returns home with their injury. 

Who does STRIVE RTS, Inc. serve?

• Individuals who have been injured in an automobile accident
• Those with Traumatic Brain Injuries
• Individuals with any physical disability
• Those recovering from strokes, heart attacks, diabetes and other issues
• Individuals with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis
• Those with developmental or cognitive issues
• Students with their Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Individuals with psychiatric and/or substance abuse issues
• Park and Recreation Departments and Health Club agencies for consultation or privatization of Therapeutic Recreation services
• Businesses and community organizations for in- services/ staff trainings on individuals with disabilities and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

How STRIVE RTS, Inc. got started

STRIVE RTS, Inc. was formed to enhance the number of quality programs and resources in recreation, sport, wellness and advocating for individuals with disabilities throughout Michigan. Programs that do currently exist for individuals with disabilities are slowly becoming extinct or are being eliminated from Community Recreation settings. We are working to change that and get you connected with your community!
